Mr. Zenais Anthon Kiwale is a Research Scientist at the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) Muhimbili center since 2017. He has been engaging in Research activities since 2012 when he graduated from St. Augustine University of Tanzania where he pursued his Bachelor of Sociology (2009-2011). Mr. Zenais Kiwale has been an active member of various research work before his formal employment at NIMR. He initially joined NIMR headquarter as an intern and had supported the implementation and achievement of a number of research studies conducted by NIMR Neglected Tropical Diseases Control Program (NTDcp), (Lymphatic Filariasis, Hydro cell, Trachoma, Schistosomiasis, Onchocerciasis). Due to his great commitment and interest in research, he has been entrusted to supervise a number of field work ranging from supervising the Mass Drug Administration (MDA) for treatment of Lymphatic Filariasis during surveys and MDA impact assessments across different regions of Tanzania. Mr. Zenais Kiwale has been a good linkage between Neglected Tropical Diseases Control Program and Local government authorities in the country where he facilitated the successful implementation of a number of research works as a Junior Sociologist. His continued interest and commitment to research has made his successful path into being employed as a Research Scientist at NIMR – Muhimbili center. Mr. Zenais Kiwale is currently working with highly recognized researchers in implementing different research programs namely COVID 19, MALARIA, Integrating and decentralizing HIV, diabetes and hypertension services in Africa (INTE-AFRICA), Preventing Violence against children in school (PVAC), Tackling the Obstacles to Fight Filariasis and Podoconiosis (TAKeOFF) and Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
