Dr. Mbazi Senkoro is a research scientist with about 16 years of experience, employed by the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR). He has a master’s in International Health (Epidemiology) and a PhD in Epidemiology focusing on the burden of tuberculosis, both from the University of Bergen, Norway. His background is in medicine (MD). He has been involved in several research projects focusing on different topics such as Reproductive and Child Health, Non-communicable Diseases, Foodborne illness, HIV, and tuberculosis. Senkoro also supervises and mentors PhD and MSc students at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences and the University of Burundi. He has 21 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
