Ms. Mtumwa Bakari is a Quality Assurance Officer at the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR). She holds a Master’s degree in Health Systems Management from Mzumbe University Morogoro and Advanced Diploma in Social Work from the Institute of Social Work Dar es Salaam. Mtumwa has over ten years’ experience in conducting social science research. She has extensively worked with qualitative and quantitative research methodology involving different multidisciplinary team and worked with different national and international research partners. She has involved in different projects focused on health system research, communicable disease, non-communicable disease, mental health, maternal and child health. She has done different studies related to prevention of violence and sexual exploitation to children, women and people with disability. Mtumwa, she is committed, hardworking and ready to learn new skills to achieve her goals. Ms. Mtumwa worked with the Directorate of Health Research Information and Regulatory Affairs under Health Research Regulations Section as a member of secretariat of NatHREC.
